Local Legend Orangee Named UK Professional Driver of the Year 2026
We’re incredibly proud to share some fantastic news from the national QSi Awards, where our very own Orangee was named Professional Driver of the Year 2026.
This is a UK-wide award, with nominees from across the country, and the standard this year was exceptionally high. That makes this recognition all the more meaningful.
What makes Orangee’s win truly special is why he won.
This award wasn’t about sharp suits, prestige vehicles, or traditional industry stereotypes. It was about values, community impact, and giving back. Times have changed, and this award reflects what modern professionalism really looks like.
Orangee is well known across Hastings, Bexhill, Battle and the surrounding areas, not just for his driving, but for the way he treats people and the causes he supports. He regularly donates all of his tips to children’s charities and good causes, quietly helping others without ever seeking recognition. Until this week, despite years of outstanding feedback from passengers and colleagues alike, he had never received a formal award for the work he does.
When his name was announced, it genuinely took a moment to sink in.
Orangee is also instantly recognisable by his bright 247 orange car, which has become something of a local trademark. It’s a perfect reflection of his approach, different, positive, and impossible to miss.
Alongside this individual success, we’re also proud that 247 Transport Solutions picked up Silver in the Community Award, following on from our Gold win last year. Consistency matters, and this recognition reflects the wider team’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve.
Over the next few days, Orangee will be back out on the road locally with the award in his vehicle. If you spot the orange car, give him a wave or a smile. He’ll probably play it down, but this one is well deserved.
